Workday
We meet at the Jarvis "shed", which is the garage located on the south side of Addison Drive, the road that leads to the Marovitz Golf Course parking lot. This garage is located near the northeast corner of the Sanctuary, but closer to the lake. Volunteers can park free in the Marovitz lot; come to the shed to get a pass to put in your windshield.
During spring and summer workdays we concentrate on weeding. We'll try to collect early season seed this year and sow it immediately. We'll also be doing some work in the marsh.
We work rain or shine, so dress for it. Even if the weather happens to be hot, long pants and long sleeves are essential. Sun protection is also important. High topped rubber boots are necessary for those planning to work in or around the marsh. We provide tools and gloves.
As always, we'll have refreshments from Ann Sather's!
