Workday
We meet at the Jarvis "shed", which is the garage located on the south side of Addison Drive, the road that leads to the Marovitz Golf Course parking lot. This garage is located near the northeast corner of the Sanctuary, but closer to the lake. Volunteers can park free in the Marovitz lot; come to the shed to get a pass to put in your windshield.
During winter workdays we concentrate on brush cutting. Depending on the weather and snow cover, we may also spread some seed.
Speaking of the weather - we work rain (or snow) or shine, so dress for it.
Dress in layers for cold weather work. Even if the weather happens to be warm, long pants and long sleeves are essential. Sun protection is also important. High topped rubber boots are necessary for those planning to work in or around the marsh. We provide tools and gloves.
